On December 9th, Tokyo Poetry Journal launched their 14th volume of poetry titled, Eros. Three of my poems, and two of my photos were published in this issue. For paid subscribers of Swallow, I recorded a reading of each poem and placed them below as pockets of audio.
These recordings were done in the quiet, narrow space of my bedroom while the neighbors below played catch, planes flew by overhead, the 5pm Yuyake Koyake1 chime played throughout the neighborhood to signal the end of the day, and the construction workers next door began to slow their machines. The sun was setting and setting and set, and the sky was yellow until it was dark blue.
